About Dave: Relentlessly curious, dedicated to action, a technologist at heart with a passion for mental performance helping people and start-ups realise their potential. Dave spent 13 years in the British military before breaking out into tech as a cloud architect.
Dave is portfolio professional who runs a mental performance consultancy, is founder of vupop as well as a thriving technology consulting practice. The Venn diagram of Dave consists of three circles, Technologist, Mental Performance SME, and Founder. At the centre of that Venn diagram is nascentX a space Dave can help others technically but also more broadly to realise their potential.
Dave spent a significant amount of time over the last 4 years conducting technology due diligence projects for VCs and PE houses who were looking to invest in or buy a business. This has exposed him to a vast array of start-ups [From Monzo to Alan] technology stacks and solutions.
Dave like’s to get things done, with a strong bias for action tempered with a passion for strategic analysis and a focus on the human in the problem.
About Lee: Passionate about data and systems, Lee is a technologist who thrives building decision-support engines that enable organisations and principals to drive business, product and technology strategy towards good outcomes. Following an 18-year career in the British Military as both the decision-maker and the decision-support to UK Policy-makers, he transitioned into tech as a Strategist and Tech Delivery Leader.
Lee’s Focus is new-build’s and kick-off, be that entrepreneurial or intrapreneurial. Setting up frameworks and systems from greenfield that empower leadership to ditch the busywork and focus entirely on identifying, capturing, and retaining the value of their creations.
Maintaining a foot in both worlds, Lee’s experience ranges from seed-round startups (Clyx), through spin-off ventures (m-pesa), and across into larger corporate new-builds / tech transformations.
Regardless of the scale, the focus is always on great decision-making, execution at velocity, with integrity.
